Preparation and application

Surface preparation

Surface on which the product is applied must be clean, solid, dry, without traces of grease and oil, supported and without parts falling off. Plaster may be applied on surfaces based on lime and cement, previously treated with primer EnveoGrund. Cement and lime plasters and concretes must be at least one month old, with moisture residue ≤ 2%. Coatings with low support and parts that are falling off, coatings that are water soluble coatings (during surface washing) should be fully removed and repaired with appropriate material. Surfaces contaminated with mold and algae should be  ashed with hot water and disinfected by adequate solution.

Product preparation and installation

1. At least 24 hours before applying the facade plaster, coat the base with the base primer EnveoGrund in order to improve adhesion, regulate water absorption, improve water repellency and the open time of the plaster. Primer must be toned in the same tone as the facade plaster.
2. Before use, mix the EnveoPutz Premium Aqua well to the bottom in each bucket individually, and then homogenize the material from different lots and/or packages in one large vessel for tone harmonization (equalizing). For the purpose of setting intended consistency of plaster, as necessary, add a maximum of 250ml of pure water at 25 kg of product. Subsequent adding of water and pigment is not allowed.
3. Facade plaster is applied with steel trowel in the thickness of the largest grain. Correctly applied plaster should be processed with a PVC or metal trowel by lightly pressing the surface in circular or straight movements, depending on the structure and intended appearance. Application and  rocessing of plaster shall be performed in continuity for the surface to appear consistent. For uccessful execution it is necessary to align the number of workers and number of floors and surface, so the joints of material would be executed wet on wet and invisible after completion.
4. Facade system must be secured with drippers in order to achieve complete protection against water penetration and pouring down the surface. Product should not be used on horizontal surfaces where retention of impurities, water and snow might occur.
5. During installation and drying the temperature of the surface and air must be between 5°C and 30°C. Material should be protected from the sun, wind, and rain for at least 24h, whereafter resistance is achieved to atmospheric impact. Recommended method of protection is setting scaffold screens, but this could be insufficient if stated impact is of strong intensity. If the weather conditions are not in line with stated, it is necessary to stop the work and wait for the optimum conditions.

*All stated parameters refer to standard weather conditions: temperature 20°C, relative humidity up to 65%.

The manufacturer recommends, before the start of works, to perform smaller, test surfaces to check if the product/surface is properly prepared and if the appropriate conditions for use and installation have been use and installation have been provided. The company shall not be responsible execution of works with stated material as well as using material for purposes not stated in the description of the product. Complaints submitted after the completion of execution of works shall not be accepted.
