Preparation and application

Surface preparation

The base on which the product is applied on must be clean, solid, dry, without traces of oil and  grease, supported and without parts falling off. Plaster may be applied to surfaces based on lime and cement, previously treated with primer EnveoGrund. Cement-lime plasters and concretes must be at least one month old, with moisture residue of < 2%. Insufficiently supported coatings and parts that are falling off, coatings soluble in water (during surface washing) should be fully removed and repaired with appropriate material. Surfaces contaminated with mold and algae should be washed with hot water and disinfected with appropriate products.

Product preparation and installation

1. Minimum 24h before application of facade plaster the surface should be covered with basic primer EnveoGrund for the purpose of improving adhesion, regulation of water absorption, improvement of water permeability and open working time of the plaster. Primer must be toned in the same tone as the facade plaster.
2. EnveoPutz Silicon should be well mixed before use to the bottom in each bucket individually, and afterwards, homogenize the material from different batches and/or packages in one large vessel for tone alignment (equalization). For the purpose of setting intended consistency of  plaster, as necessary, add a maximum of 250 ml of pure water at 25 kg of products. Subsequent adding of water and pigment is not allowed.
3. Facade plaster is applied with steel trowel in the thickness of the largest grain. Properly applied plaster should be processed with PVC or metal trowel using light pressure on the surface of circular or straight movements depending on the structure and intended appearance.  Application and processing of plaster shall be performed in continuity for the surface to appear consistent. For successful performance, it is necessary to align the number of operators compared to the number of floors and surface, in order for the material joints to be developed  in wet condition and invisible after completion.
4. Facade system must be secured with sills  to achieve full protection from penetration and drainage of water down the surface. Product should not be used on horizontal surfaces where impurities, water and snow may be retained.
5. During installation and drying the temperature of the surface and air must be between 5°C and 30°C. Material should be protected from the impact of sun, wind and rain for at least 24h, after which period resistance is achieved to atmospheric impact. Recommended protection method includes setting scaffold screens, but it may be insufficient in case stated impact is of strong intensity. In case weather conditions do not match the requirements; it is necessary to stop the work and wait for the optimum conditions.

* All stated parameters refer to standard weather conditions: temperature 20°C, relative humidity up to 65%.

The manufacturer recommends application on small, test surfaces to make sure the product/surface are properly prepared and that appropriate conditions of use and installation are provided. The company shall not be responsible for incorrect execution of works with the stated material as well as use of material for the purpose not stated in product description. Complaints submitted after the completion of execution of works shall not be accepted.

Approximately 2.5-3.5 kg/m2 depending on granulation and type of facade.
