Product description

EnveoKleber Premium light is a prefabricated dry type of construction adhesive for thermal insulation based on soft fillers, white cement and additives, polymer enriched, easy to apply and process. Very flexible solution, which provides maximum performance to the facade system. Owing to lighter fillers it can be applied in thicker layer and may reduce consumption up to 30%.

Cleaning

Residue of fresh product can be cleaned from the tools and surfaces with water. Hardened product must be removed only mechanically.

Product limitations

Thermal insulation adhesive EnveoKleber Premium Light cannot be used in the following situations:

  • With wooden and metal surfaces
  • With insufficiently supported surfaces
  • At temperatures for storage, transport, application and drying lower than +5˚C and higher than 30˚C,
  • As finishing layer within facade systems
  • With surfaces containing impurities and moisture

Preparation and application


Base preparation

The base on which the product is applied on must be clean, solid, dry, supported and without parts falling off. Residue of old paint, plaster and substances that reduce adhesion (Oplatol oil, dust, salts and other impurities) should be fully removed. In case the base is exposed to moisture, it is necessary to repair the damage causing moisture first or install the insulation layer. Surfaces with deviation from vertical plane larger than 1.5 cm at floor height must be leveled with external cement plaster. Leveling of the surface with adhesive is not allowed - application of a layer that is too thick may lead to adhesive cracking, reduction of adhesion, that may cause cracks on the facade surface and detachment of insulation boards. Concrete surfaces, cement and limestone-based plasters must be minimum 28 days old with moisture residue ≤ 2%, mechanically roughened and without dust residue. Strong absorbing surfaces (for example gas-concrete), old plasters and bricks, old mineral facades should be covered with deeply penetrating primer EnveoGrund at least 6h prior to adhesion. New and clean surfaces from brick products (full brick, block) should not be treated with primer.


Product preparation and installation  

  1. Pour 17 kg of adhesive into 6-6,8 l of pure water (check the more precise info on the bag), mix with electric mixer to the bottom of the bucket, until the material becomes homogenous. After mixing, leave EnveoKleber Premium Light for 5-10 minutes and mix once more, and then use it within 1 hour maximum.
  2. Set the initial skirting board prior to adhesion of insulation boards, in order to form a direction. After this, start gluing with EnveoKleber Premium light adhesive.
  3. Prior to application of the adhesive to stone wool boards it is necessary to perform skimming of parts of the board on which adhesive is applier or the entire surface with EnveoKleber Premium light for impregnation. Apply the glue to the back side of the insulation board - in strips to the  edges of the board and in dots in the middle. Mineral wool lamella boards require a full application of adhesive mortar. For EPS and XPS adhesion, also apply strip-dot method of adhesive application. Coverage of the board with EnveoKleber Premium light adhesive after gluing must be at least 40% of the total surface, to achieve good adhesion. Thermal insulation boards should be glued together using the shearing method, by drawing the next row of boards by 30 cm minimum, in order to avoid overlapping of vertical joints. On the corners of the building apply the method of alternate overlapping (jagged joint rule - cross-adhesion of thermal insulation boards). When gluing thermal insulation boards around facade openings, make sure not to match the lines of the opening with the lines of board joints. Clearance between the insulation boards should be filled with thermal  insulation material, not the adhesive, in order to prevent the occurrence of thermal bridges.
  4. Anchoring and cutting the surplus of boards in corners should be started 48h after adhesion at the earliest. Minimum number of anchors is 5 pcs/m² for EPS, while the minimum quantity is 6 pcs/m² for stone wool and anchors must include iron nails. Anchoring of anchors to the surface should be done directly through the adhesive.
  5. Prior to the reinforcement of the entire surface, perform corner reinforcements around all openings on the facade, by pressing the facade mesh with minimum dimensions 30 x 50 cm into the fresh applied EnveoKleber Premium Light, in such a way that windows of the mesh are set under the angle of 45° related to opening edges. Afterwards, set required skirting for edge strengthening (PVC corner skirting, contact skirting, end profiles, etc.). Reinforcement should be performed by applying adhesive with jagged trowel with minimum teeth depth of 8 mm. Softly press the EnveoTherm reinforcement mesh into the freshly applied adhesive, making sure that the overlaps of the mesh are at least 10 cm long. After at least 24 hours, start the final leveling of the surface with the adhesive. Minimum total thickness of the adhesive should be 4 mm for EPS and 5mm for MW. The mesh should be positioned in such a way that 2/3 of the total adhesive thickness should be between the mesh and the insulation board.
  6. Application of facade primer should be performed after EnveoKleber Premium light is completely dry or, at the earliest, in 48h from the application of the final layer of the adhesive.

    * All stated parameters refer to standard weather conditions: temperature 20°C, relative humidity up to 65%.

  7. During installation and drying, material should be protected from the Sun, wind and rain for at least 48h. Recommended protection method includes setting scaffold screens, but it may be insufficient in case stated impact is of strong intensity. Temperature of the surface and air during the application of facade plaster must be between 5°C and 30°C. It case weather conditions do not match the requirements; it is necessary to stop the work and wait for the optimum conditions.

    The manufacturer recommends application on small, test surfaces to make sure the product/ surfaces are properly prepared and whether appropriate conditions for use and installation have been provided. If not, please stop the work and contact the Saint-Gobain građevinski proizvodi d.o.o Beograd representative. The company shall not be responsible for incorrect execution of works with the stated material as well as use of material for the purpose not stated in product description. Complaints submitted after execution of works shall not be accepted.

Product consumption

EPS: For adhesion approximately 3,5-5,0 kg/m², depending on the adhesive layer thickness, conditions during application and surface on which the thermal insulation boards are set. For reinforcement mesh placement: approximately 3,0-4,0 kg/ m², depending on adhesive layer thickness and conditions during application.

MW: For adhesion approximately 4,5-6,0 kg/m², depending on the adhesive layer thickness, conditions during application and surface on which the thermal insulation boards are set. For reinforcement mesh placement: approximately 3,5-5,0 kg/m², depending on adhesive layer thickness and conditions during applicatione.
